Auckland surprised me a lot, it is somewhere between old Europe and young America. Imagine a mix of hippie, sportsy and fashion, all in a very, but very relaxed atmosphere. I love colors, and love the colors of films such as Kodachrome or Velvia. Nowadays with softwares like Lightroom, our field of experimentation has become endless and we can create our own "films".  The pictures below are probably infuenced by some of these old films, mixing modern contrast and clarity with specific color drifts and desaturation. Not sure this is going anywhere, but the experimentation is quite a fun process.  (click on pictures for high res) All pictures taken with Leica M8 and 35mm Lux Asph

As you might know, the Rugby World Cup is currently taking place in New Zealand. And as we landed this morning, the pilot announced that the New Zealand All Blacks had beaten Australia to qualify for the final. The opponent ? .... France on next Sunday. It seems that this lovely Franco-Kiwi  couple (found kissing this morning at 6am on Queen Street) will go through some rough moments during the week leading to the game.  (click on picture for high res) Leica M8 with 35mm Lux Asph at F1.4, 1/125, ISO640

Bad luck today ... As we headed to Santiago's downtown, we were pulled over by the police. And my friend's driver's license resulted expired. No joking with the Chilean police ... and we head to get back. All I can therefore share today, is a few shots ... through the car's window.
