We did find an internet connection in Yangon, so here is a first series of pictures. Yangon has a train that makes a loop around the city. Though the track is only a few kilometers long, it takes about 3 hours to come back to the main station. Meanwhile, you share the life of Burmese passengers for a few hours, and get to see less concurred areas of the city through the windows. Unforgettable.  (click on pictures for high res) All pictures taken with Leica M8 and 35mm Lux Asph

Nevertheless, I have pre-programed entries and the daily picture routine will go on meanwhile with pictures taken in Bangkok. I'll post Myanmar pictures when we return or whenever I can find a good internet connection. Myanmar is soon to change radically, so here is my last...

I met Toru through Flickr where he participates under the name JazzySteps (yes, a Jazz player). After a couple of email exchanges, we found ourselves in Tokyo's Ginza about to shoot the Sunday shopping frenzy. Though my Japanese is terrible (I mean, inexistent), Toru shared with use quite a few insights on the Japanese culture and his love of street photography. As usual, I took the opportunity to ask him a few questions. Toru with his beautiful brand new R-D1X and CV Skopar 35mm 2.5 II . Respect between people is an important part of Japanese culture, how does it...
