From street photography to portrait in 6 steps

Here is a little humorous methodology on how to start with a candid shot and end up with a little improvised portrait session.

(All shots taken in Boonah before the Melbourne Cup horse race. This is a very important day in Australia as Ladies dress up to watch the televised event at the local pub. )

Step I : Always get the candid shot first.

Step II : Smile.

Step III : Say something nice or funny.

Step IV : You can then ask for a pose.

Step V : And finish with a close up portrait.

Step VI : … and don’t forget to look at the next window. Their friends might get jealous.
